When she jumped, she probably thought she'd fly...

We know we're not alone when we say Sofia Coppola's The Virgin Suicides is one of our favorite movies. It's less about the acting and script and more about the dreamy 70s world Coppola created, its hard not to believe the pain these five sisters go through which finally leads to their demise. It's so impressive to see a movie that was made over a decade ago by first time director Coppola still be a point of reference to designers today, you can find hundreds of websites that pull inspiration from this lovely movie.
We pulled some of our favorite shots that keep inspiring us year after year.
We also have some runway looks inspired by the movie.

Some designers who started with The Virgin Suicides as general inspiration and created unique shows.
