Luxe Field Trip: Annenberg Space for Photography

Luxelab students and their education team were back to the Annenberg Space for Photography, this time featuring the work of the revolutionary fashion photographer Helmut Newton. The images on display were from Newton's first three books - White WomenSleepless Nights and Big Nudes. This is the first exhibition of Helmut Newton's work outside of gallery shows in Los Angeles, and the last time these images will be in the US before heading back to the vaults in Berlin. The images are stunning, seductive, powerful and controversial - all things artists, including hairstylists, thrive on. Along with the provocative images, our stylists also enjoyed a short documentary of Newton's journey as a photographer and the influence he had on fashion and art.
With lots to discuss, they headed to nearby Mercato di Vetro in West Hollywood for Ciao! Hour. It's always great to be inspired outside of your usual environment and this exhibit certainly left an impression on all of our stylists.

Our staff at the Annenberg!
